Weekly Prayer Encouragement for the Camrose Church of God

Week of July 20, 2010

 

I have spent the last two weeks enjoying God at work at two different camps.  Kim and I were up at a camp with the kids by Bonnyville north east of Edmonton two weeks ago, and one of the mornings Amittai and I woke up early before I had any responsibilities and went fishing.  More than fishing I just wanted to spent time with my little boy, who is so full of life and curiosity.  I believe that this is how God feels about us, he just wants us to hang out and talk to and get to know Him a bit better.  He just wants to spend time with us.  Ty and I didn’t catch any fish but we had an exciting time together.

This week as we spend time with God in prayer let us remember people in our church and in our lives who need to be thought of and prayed for:

Rhonda Levers as she undergoes cancer treatment

Stan Lohner’s daughter in law as she just had surgery on Monday July 19 for cancer in her vertebrae

The Semrau family as they await the final outcome of the sentencing

Let us also remember:

Pastor Brian and Val as they take time to relax during their holiday

Murial Bartel as she takes time to plan and prepare for Daycamps

The Street Invaders team as they prepare for bootcamp in Eston Sk and then come and minister at Daycamps

The Yap team as they prepare to leave

Thanks to everyone who prayed for me as I served as guest speaker at Campmeeting last week.  I truly sensed the power of prayer as the Spirit made the Word come alive
