Tuesday Morning Bible Study
“…that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ…” Colossians 2:2
The Tuesday morning ladies’ Bible Study group has been meeting for several years. Convening in the downstairs lounge every Tuesday morning, we start with coffee and conversation at 9:30 and begin our study at 10:00. The study ends at 11:30 a.m., and proceeds from October through May.
Over the years, we have pursued a wide variety of topics. Most recently, we have examined both Old and New Testament scriptures as we journey through the Lenten season. The “All In” book by Mark Batterson was perused and discussed during the weeks that our congregation listened to sermons about the topic of full surrender to God. Other topics have included prayer, servanthood, and women of the Bible. Although Sandra Hildebrandt has been our faithful leader for several years, the weekly study has been led by some of the other participants at various times.
Not only does this group study and discuss scripture. Prayers of praise and worship as well as intercessory prayers are offered every week. We spend time listening to one another’s news and try to support each other as we carry on with the trials and joys that comprise life. With God’s help, we encourage one another’s faith and learn about providing strong Christian witness. We have become close friends who respect and love one another as we share stories about family, friends, illness and perseverance. If you are a lady who would love to meet weekly to discuss scripture and be inspired by others, please join us.
“The friendship and fellowship and Bible study and sharing prayer requests and praise reports have been tremendous blessings in my life! It is just a wonderful time of discussion and learning new truths from God’s Word.”—Lois
“I find the Bible study to be informative, encouraging and scriptural; pluses in a believer’s life anytime..”.–Ruth
“Bible study is something I look forward to each week. Attending regularly has encouraged me to study the Bible more diligently, both in a group and on my own. I truly love all of these ladies.” —Carolyn
“6 Are not five sparrow sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6-7
At young moms group we want to be a place of encouragement, learning and prayer. A community of women to support and laugh with each other through the ups and downs of motherhood.
